Hercules: The Legend Begins Stars Kellan Lutz

I really did not know that Kellan Lutz was also in the works of his version of Renny Harlin's  Hercules: The Legend Begins. The only Hercules movie I know that is currently in production is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Hercules: The Thracian War which is directed by Brett Ratner until today. So it is a sort of pleasant surprise for a fan of this genre like me to see this another Hercules movie. Hit the jump to see the newly released first trailer of Hercules: The Legend Begins by Millennium Films.

After seeing the full 3-minute trailer, two or three movies/tv series of the same genre came into my mind. The first was the 300, then Spartacus and third is Immortals. But it reminds me more of the Spartacus. If you have seen at least one of those then most likely you will have the same experience. 3 minutes is quite long for a first trailer and to be honest, I felt like I have seen the entire film as most of plots have been revealed.

Like I what said above, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is also having his "Thracian Wars" film, if you are following him on his Twitter account, chances are you have seen many of the set photos tweeted by the Rock in the last several months. Based on those images by Dwayne which promise more action and mythical creatures packed film, I am really more excited to see that one than this Legend Begins which stars Kellan Lutz (Twilight Saga).

Even though these are the same demigod Hercules movies, their stories are pretty much different from each other as what the titles suggest. The Legend Begins tells the story of a much younger Hercules who does not know yet that he is the son of Zeus and is in the stage of discovering his identity and power being a son of a God. While the Thracian Wars is a story of already established Hercules as we know it.

Hercules: The Legend Begins hits cinemas in March of 2014 and then by July of the same year is Hercules: The Thracian Wars' turn. I expect to see the latter's first official trailer before the year ends and I expect it to be big like The Rock himself.
