Introducing Smart Communications' PowerApp

Smart Communications, one of the leading telecommunications providers in the Philippines has something in (app) store for us. Smart introduces PowerApp, where users can access multiple popular social sites and websites through this Smart-created app for very pocket-friendly rates. Download the PowerApp from Google Play right now and access Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Foursquare, LinedIn, Path and Waze for free until January 15, 2014. Nice treat right?

Smart said in a press release, "PowerApp is the world's first mobile Internet storefront which gives users the ability to access their favorite mobile apps and sites without the need for a WiFi connection, making the experience truly mobile." We know that there are many smartphone users today in the country that only rely to WiFi connections at home and at some public places that offer free WiFi to access the internet and this kind of offer and app created by Smart is just right and in time especially for those who still want to be connected even beyond WiFi-reached areas.

Smart assures users of this PowerApp not to worry about unwanted and unexpected data charges while running this app even in the background as real-time notifications will be provided whenever they are about to access a site that is outside of their current data subscription.

Aside from the social sites that were mentioned above, eligible users can also subscribe to other PowerApp bundles plans. See below.

The service is initially available to Smart Postpaid and prepaid and Talk 'N Text subscribers and then Smart Infinity, Freedom Plan and Smart All-in Subscribers will follow suit. And then the PowerApp application is currently available to Android users, to subscribe to the data packages above, just navigate through the PowerApp. And if you are an iOS or feature phone user, you can still avail of the service or bundles by simply texting the desired promo bundle (above) to 5555 (for Smart prepaid, postpaid, Infinity & Talk 'N Text), 9990 (for Smart Freedom Plan) and 7577 (for Smart All-in).

When it comes to making internet life easier for mobile subscribers, Smart is always on top of it and they are really doing a great job on this. Remember the SmartNet app? I did enjoy it and I am pretty sure that I will also enjoy this PowerApp and its capabilities and offerings which are far better than the SmartNet. Kudos to the people behind this innovation. As our needs and technology change, we can expect that Smart Communications is always on it to make it always more suitable for our lifestyle and to always make the user experience great. Thanks to Smart.
