Samsung Galaxy S5 is Set To Announce By April

Samsung's Mobile Chief Lee Young Hee had an interview this week with Bloomberg and she told that Samsung aims to announce and release its next flagship device Samsung Galaxy S5 either by March or April of this year. Along with the fifth generation Galaxy S Android smartphone, the Korea-based tech giant also said next smartwatch Galaxy Gear will also be released and will feature an improved and design and new features.

“We’ve been announcing our first flagship model in the first half of each year, around March and April, and we are still targeting for release around that time,” Lee told Bloomberg . “When we release our S5 device, you can also expect a Gear successor with more advanced functions, and the bulky design will also be improved.” She added.

The Samsung boss also hinted that they are working on a possibility to feature eye scanner functionality on this next flagship smartphone which when confirmed this will be competing with Apple's Fingerprint sensor feature in the current iPhone 5S device. We can also expect to see a new look on this Galaxy S5 as they acknowledge that many people were not impressed on the design of the Galaxy S4 when it was unveiled last year due to its looks is not far away from that of Galaxy S3, and that is something that Korean company wants to work on. Many were also not that happy when they unveiled their first Galaxy Gear smartwatch also last year due to its design as well and some limitation in compatibility with Android phones and good news is Samsung will add more functionality to it and that they will also work on its design to reduce bulkyness. I hope this time more Android devices will be supported by this next Galaxy Gear even non-Samsung devices should be compatible, I just don't know why its coverage is very limited compare to other smartwatches around. And one last thing, since faux leather cover is now common to Samsung's new high-end devices such as the Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, Galaxy Camera 2 and other Galaxy TabPro slates, Samsung is also expected to feature that covering on its upcoming Galaxy S5 device.
