Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite Now Official

This is one of those Galaxy Tablets that was leaked and rumored to be released first before getting an official announcement. Yes, that is right the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite is now official, a new tablet to be added to the South Korean electronics company's Galaxy Tab line. And yes this one will have a global release this year. This is also a direct mini or lite version of the Galaxy Tab 3 that was announced and released early last year.

Just like what we see in the Tab 3, this Lite version also sports 7-inch display with resolution of 1024x600 pixels. Under the hood is an unnamed 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and an 8GB internal storage which also supports microSD card up to 32GB. This will run on Android 4.2 Jellybean with Samsung TouchWiz on top of it.  There is only a rear camera pegged at 2MP, front camera for selfie and video calling purposes is unfortunately not available on this one.

Samsung said that the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite will come in black and white variants with also two versions each WiFi only or the one with 3G support, take note that even though it supports cellular network this may not be able to take and make calls so we have to check on that a little further once additional information is released such as the pricing and availability dates. As for its battery there is a 3,600mAh which Samsung claims to last up to 8 hours of video playback on a single charge. One of the features that will be on this Android tablet is the "Smile Shot" which the camera will automatically shoot pictures when a smiling face is detected.
