Samsung Unveils Galaxy Camera 2

As the 2014 CES is coming near, more and more devices, appliances and gadgets are being announced and leaked left and right. Big names or small players, all of them have new products to offer and show for this year. One of the giant tech companies in the world Samsung Electronics has just announced the Galaxy Camera 2, an Android-powered camera. As the name suggests it is the sequel to the first Galaxy Camera that was released last year.

This Galaxy Camera 2 wills still feature some of the specs found in the first Galaxy Camera such as the 21x optical zoom with Xenon flash, 4.8 HD Super Clear LCD screen display on the back and the 16MP BSI  camera with 1/2.3-inch image sensor. Of course additional or upgraded specs and features are not missing in the next-gen Galaxy Camera, there is the upgraded 1.6GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM so the Camera will work perfectly with multitasking needs. Internal storage is built with 8GB which can be expanded via microSD card up to 64GB plus Samsung added that this device will come with free 50GB of cloud strorage space from DropBox which is good for 2 years.


As for connectivity feature which should always be not missing in the scene, the Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 comes with WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and the newly added NFC technology however there is no word yet if the gadget will also come in 3G variant just like its predecessor. The NFC feature is one of the new additions to this successor as it makes connecting and sharing with other NFC-enabled smartphones and devices easier than ever, thanks also to its "Tag & Go" feature. Other upgrades are Google's Android 4.3 Jellybean will be running in this one and the battery is now set to 2,000mAh. 

Another new thing we can see in the Galaxy Camera two is its covering, the original Galaxy Camera is encased in a plastic body while the Galaxy Camera 2 will sport faux-leather coating to give it a retro look.

In the announcemnet, Samsung mentioned software features like Tag & Go, Photo Beam, Mobile Link, Remote Viewfinder, Smart Mode, Smart Mode Suggest, Selfie Alarm and Multi Motion Video that are going to be in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Camera 2. This new product will also be on display at the CES 2014 this week in Las Vegas.
