Cherry Mobile Omega Spectrum, 5" HD IPS Display, Quad-core Smartphone for Php4,999

Cherry Mobile just freshly announced the Omega Infinity which boasts a 5.5-inch Full HD display with octa-core processor and today CM just outed another smartphone under the Omega line up, the Cherry Mobile Omega Spectrum. The specs of this Omega Spectrum tells me that it is CM's answer to the MyPhone Rio which right now is very popular and selling like hotcakes especially for Filipinos who are looking for a budget phone that also at the same time packs a punch. Read on for more information about this Cherry Mobile Omega Spectrum.

The Omega Spectrum sports a 5-inch HD IPS Display, 1280x720p resolution and 294ppi, its front is covered with Dragontrail glass making its screen scratch resistant and with the IPS technology in the display, it will definitely provide a better viewing angle experience. Inside this device is a 1.2GHz Quad-core Broadcom BCM 23550 processor along with it is a 1GB of RAM. This is not a common processor of todays' smartphones that are coming from these local tech companies. MediaTek is the chip that we are most familiar with which is found in the MyPhone Rio but this Broadcom has appeared in Starmobile Navi and Cherry Mobile Sonic 2.0 smartphones so it is not completely alien to us all. However, when it comes to popularity and performance, I would still prefer the MediaTek-powered ones.

Furthermore, the Omega Spectrum comes with a 4GB built-in internal storage which just like many others is expandable via microSD card up to 32GB. It is also a dual-sim dual-standby Android 4.2 Jellybean smartphone. For capturing moments and selfies documentation purposes Cherry Mobile Omega Spectrum is equipped with 8MP rear and 2MP front cameras. Other commons features and specifications we find here are supports for WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, GLONASS, Miracast (wireless display), USB OTG. Powered by a 2,000mAh battery all for only Php4,999.
