Xiaomi Redmi 1S 4G LTE Officially Unveiled

Last week the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi just announced the Redmi Note 4G which has a pretty nice set of specs plus adding that 4G connectivity support. And then today Xiaomi also announced a new smartphone from the Redmi line supporting LTE technology, the Redmi 1S 4G LTE.

Much of the Redmi 1S 4G LTE's specs remains the same found in the previous iterations of the device with some slight changes. Instead of using a Snapdragon 400 SoC, Xiaomi chose to use a MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with 1GB of RAM. Then the battery size is bumped up to 2,200mAh. Also the tech company opted for a single SIM version on this Redmi 1S 4G LTE. One last upgrade is that it is now powered by Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with MIUI V5 on top.

Xiaomi Redmi 1S 4G LTE Specs:

- 4.7" HD IPS Display
- 1280x720 resolution , 312ppi
- 1.3GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6582 Processor
- 8GB Internal storage
- Supports microSD card up to 32GB
- 8MP rear camera with LED Flash
- 1.6MP Front camera
- Android 4.4 Kitkat
- 4G, LTE,
- Wifi, Bluetooth 4.0LE
- Single SIM
- 2,200mAh Battery

The device will go on sale in China on August 16 for a price tag of around Php5,000 when converted. Let's hope that this device will also come to the Philippines with that very attractive price.
