GoPro Unleashes Hero4 Black, Hero4 Silver and Hero Cameras

GoPro, the popular maker of action cameras, has become one of the  popular names when it comes to photography and videography. Almost everyone has already heard to term GoPro and what basically it offers with its products. And very recently GoPro has just unveiled three new camera offerings from high end version to an entry level variant. These new GoPro cameras are called Hero4 Black, Hero4 Silver and Hero.

Of the three, the Hero4 Black has the highest number and great offerings. It has twice the power of its predecessor which can now record 4K videos at 30 frames per second, the previous one only capable of 15 frames per second. Other video recording formats likes 2.7K at 50 frames per second, full HD or 1080p at 120 frames per second are also available on the Hero4 Black. Users can also grab screenshots from those recordings and produce 8.3MP images. Now if they just want to take photos using this device but not from videos, it will be 12MP sized ones and its camera can capture in burst mode with up to 30 frames per second. WiFi and Bluetooth connectivities are built in the device which enables users to hook it up with other devices. How much? $499.


Second in line is the Hero4 Silver which also offers almost the same features and capabilities as the Black version minus the 4K recording. 2.7K format will still be available at 30 frames per second as well as full HD or 1080p at 60 frames per second and 720p at 120 frames per second. What sets this Silver apart from the Black is that it features a touchscreen display which makes it more convenient to review those photos and clips after taking them. WiFi and Bluetooth are also on board. Images will still be pegged at 12 megapixels each. How much? $399

And then the third one and an entry-level one is simply called the Hero which video recording maxes out at 1080p with 30 frames per second plus a 720p format at 60 frames per second. Camera will be able to provide 5MP of photos. How much? $129. GoPro Hero, Hero4 Silver and Hero4 Black are all waterproof and support microSD cards.

All these new GoPro Hero cameras will be available for purchase starting October 5 on GoPro.com and at select retailers worldwide.
