There were two smartphones that was announced by Starmobile at an event they held yesterday the first one is the Starmobile Knight X a flagship device which offers head turner specs and features. The second is a mid-ranger device, a new member of the local company's "Up" smartphone series, the Starmobile Up Snap.
The Starmobile Up Snap has a 5" IPS display with 854x480 resolution and scratch resistant glass covered. Under the hood is an unfamiliar processor that goes by the name Broadcom clocked at 1.2GHz and it's a quad-core chip coupled with 1GB RAM. For memory there is an 8GB internal storage and unlike the Knight X, this one is expandable via microSD card up to 32GB.
Now the Up Snap's camera part is where Starmobile wants to shine. On the back is an 8MP camera with Ultrapixel technology and that is the same feature we see on internal brand smartphones like HTC's. This means that the camera has bigger pixels than the usual shooters we see on most smartdevices, this allows the lens to capture more image details and more light when taking photos. With that said, it should also be able to provide you the best photo quality when capturing in a low-light environment. The rear camera also has f/2.0 aperture, autofocus and LED flash should be in the mix as well. The front facing camera is at 5MP and sports autofocus capability.
Running the Starmobile Up Snap is Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with some of the company's software customization on top. It has dual-SIM slots and supports 3G connectivity. One of the things I like about this Up Snap is its bigger battery at 2,900mAh size, I am sure many would love that too.
