The New Gionee Marathon M3 Sports Massive 5,000mAh Battery Pack

Gionee is one of those tech companies like Motorola, THL, and CloudFone that wants to provide a quality smartphone that addresses users needs in all aspects of having a communication device and that covers battery life span. Unfortunately that is still one of complaints regarding smartphones of today, battery life.   Gionee unveiled the Marathon M3 smartphone which houses a massive 5,000mAh battery pack, promises 3-4 days of usage on a charge.

Gionee is also known to providing thinnest smartphones in the world but do not expect the Marathon M3 to be that slim due to its battery size, and that is 10.4mm thick. Clearly the battery is the main selling point of the device as the rest of specs are definitely not for a flagship smartphone. Right out of the box, the Gionee Marathon M3 offers a 5-inch HD IPS display with quad-core processor powered by MediaTek clocked at 1.3GHz combined with 1GB of RAM. For storage part, users will get an 8GB of space and that is expandable via microSD card up to 128GB which plenty of extra storage space for files.

Other specs include 8MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash and a front facing shooter with 2MP, Android 4.4 Kitkat with Gionee's Amigo 2.0 UI on top. Dual SIM and standby functionality are also available with the device and then the usual connectivity options like Bluetooth, WiFi, WiFi direct/hotspot, microUSB 2.0 and USB OTG are also part of the package.
