Cherry Mobile has silently made official its newest mid-range smartphone which is targeted at consumers who love to take photos and most of all selfie pics, meet the Cherry Mobile Selfie. What makes this handset a selfie-centered device? Well there are just 13MP lenses found on the smartphone both rear and front panels enhanced with Sony IMX135 sensors. Not only that, the Selfie is also powered by an octa-core processor from MediaTek clocked at 1.7GHz and a 2GB of RAM. This should be a pretty nice phone by just looking at those mentioned features.
Since this is a Selfie smartphone, users should expect pre-installed camera related apps and features on this device. Other specs found on the Selfie are 4.7-inch HD IPS display protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. For storage purposes there would be a 16GB space which is still expandable via microSD card up to 32GB. Anf of course running the device is an Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS. Powering the whole unit is a 2,300mAh battery pack.
Aside from the specs and features I also like how the Cherry Mobile Selfie is designed, the back camera really emphasizes that this is a smartphone that really focuses on image quality. Also according to a post on Yugatech, the rim of the Selfie is made of steel and that is something different and rare to so many locally-branded smartphones on the smartphone market up until today.
Users can now purchase the Selfie as it is now available on any Cherry Mobile kiosks and concept stores nationwide for a price tag of just P9,999.
