As of the moment HTC is expected to fully reveal its upcoming flagship device at the Mobile World Congress 2015 next week. And still as of today, a lot of leaks have been released online regarding this new device, earlier today there were three promotional videos for the One M9 that just got leaked which show the smartphone's familiar look, new features and software navigation. Those videos have now been taken down.
Hours prior to the clips, press renders of the One M9 also made its way online via a German website that listed the device together with official photos, specs, pricing and release date. As usual and as expected, the listing was removed but some tech-savvy people were able to recover the images and posted online. Check out the images below which I spotted from The Verge which sited a source website MobileGeeks.De.
As you can notice the physical design of the supposed to be HTC One M9 is inspired by its predecessor, the HTC One M8. I can't actually spot the difference that would tell me immediately that it is the newest device. Or maybe I am missing something.
Part of the German listing said that the M9 will be released in early April this year with a price tag of 749 Euros. Some specs that were mentioned were a 2GHz octa-core processor, a Snapdragon 810 chip, 32GB of internal storage, 3GB RAM and a microSD card slot. There's 20MP rear camera, Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sense 7 OS on top.
Since the device is not official yet, we could be looking at a wrong one or the unconfirmed specs might get changed when the HTC One M9 is announced in Barcelona at MWC 2015. But looking back at the previous history of HTC's flagship devices, it seems the same thing that is going on here and we are looking at the real upcoming flagship with the spotted technical specs.
