HTC One M9 is one of the most rumored and leaked smartphones of the year together with Samsung Galaxy S6 devices. Now that the Mobile World Congress 2015 has arrived, and so has the smartphone's official announcement. As rumored suggested it is called the HTC One M9, a direct sequel to last year's One M8.
Looking at the physical design, I don't see any differences from its predecessor. And I think that's not a good move. I don't know about the others but myself as a consumer and gadget lover, I always want new installments or generations sport new design aside from software and functionality enhancements. Everytime I see a new device successor and it bears too much resemblance with the previous iterations, my excitement about the gadget declines.
As for its cameras, HTC has removed the UltraPixel technology on the back panel and replaced it with a conventional 20MP camera fully equipped with autofocus, BSI and f/2.2 aperture lens. This rear camera is also sapphire glass covered and capable of 4K video recording. The UltraPixel, which sports bigger pixels and captures more light is actually not completely gone on the HTC One M9, it is removed to the front shooter sporting a 4MP lens. See more specs below.
