Microsoft Philippines revealed that the Lumia 640 XL Windows Phone 8 smartphone is definitely coming to the country very soon. Announced via Twitter a couple of days ago you can check out the actual tweet below.
The smartphone was first announced at this years Mobile World Congress in Spain along with its smaller brother Lumia 640. However it looks like the bigger one will only be released in the PH, atleast for now.
There is a post on Windows Central Forum on April 21 where a user said that he spotted a Lumia 640 XL at a Nokia store at SM Mega Mall. He saw a Dual-SIM-3G variant bearing a price tag of Php11,990, he even asked for the availability of the Lumia 640 but a staff at the store had no idea on the smaller sibling's release date or if it will ever be released in the Philippines.
One of the good things we can look forward to the Lumia 640 XL is that it can be upgraded to the upcoming Windows 10 OS when it becomes available later this year, Microsoft confirmed that on their website. See the phone's specs below.
