Gionee held a special event today in Beijing to announce two new smartphones, the double-battery equipped Marathon M5 and the flagship smartphone dubbed Elife E8. In this post we'll talk more about the flagship one and I will just create a new entry for the order phone.
I want to say that the Gionee Elife E8 is a beast smartphone. First is has a massive-for-a-smartphone 6-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, that's 2560 x 1440 pixel arrangement with 490 pixels per inch calibration. It's four times the normal HD display, it should provide a very clear and vivid displays when looked at.
Powered by one of the top-tiered and newest processors, the Elife E8 phablet houses a Mediatek Helio X10 chip clocked at up to 2.0GHz and paired with a 3GB of RAM to ensure lag-free navigation experience. There's a default 64GB internal storage which most likely supports microSD card.
One of the most salivating feature of the Gionee Elife E8 is its cameras especially the rear-facing one as it sports a huge 24MP resolution. Packed with True Tone LED flash, optical image stabilization features and its lens protected by a sapphire glass, there is still more to that. A built-in camera software settings that allows the main camera to produce as big as 100MP photos, some blogs even say up to 120MP. 100 or 120 it is still a super rare feature we can find on smartphones up until today.
To launch the camera app, it only takes as fast as 0.8 second while autofocus becomes ready in just 0.08 to 0.2 second. Users can also record videos with up to 4K resolution.
