Up until today smartphones even the flagship ones, flaunting 5,000mAh battery pack is still uncommon to see whether from local players or from internally recognized brands which makes the battery life still an issue with most smartphones of today. But Starmobile, a local electronics company from the Philippines is wanting to answer those needs by releasing a brand new Android Lollipop powered device with a massive 5,000mAh juice without sacrificing so much and without costing users so much.
Starmobile Up Max is announced with Digital TV tuner!
Like the Up Vision and the Knight Vision smartphones, the Up Max also sports the newest feature we can find today from local manufacturers, Digital TV tuner. It's not a standard analog TV tuner but digital which means that the Up Max has access to high quality image and audio broadcast the local broadcasting networks can offer free of charge. According to Starmobile as of May of this year there are about 10 free digital TV channels available in the air where their devices can tune to, that includes ABS-CBN, TV5 and GMA.
Starmobile Up Max is also one of those 5-incher smartphones to only sport a hefty 5,000mAh battery pack but it boasts up to 24 hours of talk time, 41 days of standby time and up to 10 hours of TV time. You may expect a bulky device when it sports bigger-than-usual battery, that might be right for most of them however the Up Max is different as Starmobile managed to pack in that big energy bank inside a 9.6mm chassis. That being said this device also breaks another record, the thinnest 5-inch smartphone with a 5000mAh battery.
Biggest battery, Digital TV tuner and Android 5 Lollipop, what else can you ask for?!
With the DTV tuner feature, many users won't be anymore missing any of the TV shows they follow even if they are on the go. The best thing is, the DTV wills till work even without SIM card, cellular data or WiFi connectivity available. Another sweetest treat is that it runs on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS making the viewing and navigation experience fantastic and the SRP is only less than Php8k, what else can we ask for?
It's not even a flagship device but the features and specs are very competitive and very hard to simply ignore.
