The Chinese company has just officially unveiled another monster of a smartphone called the MX5. Just like the previous devices under the MX series, this MX5 still has all the bells and whistles many of us wanted to see in a single device.
Comparing to last year's MX4 phone, the Meizu MX4 looks more premium as it goes full metal unibody chassis. Sitting inside the smartphone is an upgraded MediaTek MT6795T processor also known as the Helio X10 which is an 8-core Cortex-A53 processor pegged at 2.2GHz, beside it is a 3GB LPDDR3 RAM for smooth multitasking activities. Storage wise, it will be available in three options and those are in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
The rear camera sports a huge 20.7MP resolution all equipped with Sony sensor, f/2.2 aperture, dual-LED flash and laser-aided focus technology. For video taking purposes, users will be able to record up to 4K of video quality and there is also a slow-motion mode where it can capture in 100 frames-per-second 720p format. Selfie camera sits at 5MP calibration with a much higher aperture at f/2.0 this means better photos in low-light condition.
The Meizu MX5 still has the mTouch or its version of fingerprint scanner functionality found on the physical home button below the screen. As for the display, it is not Quad HD yet but Meizu stayed with a 5.5-inch Full HD resolution with AMOLED-equipped display. It's a massive display with powerful specs, so having a Full HD display is just more than enough to have the phone work longer than most of its competitors with the 3,150mAh battery. Speaking of battery Meizu said they have this mCharge technology embedded in the machine which works like a rapid charge feature from other devices, the company claims to recharge the phone's battery with up to 25% in just 10 minutes or about 60% juice in 40 minutes.
