It's so good to be a gamer as gaming product makers are always taking care of these people, always listening to them when it comes to making these companies' product more gamer friendly and more pocket friendly without compromising the overall performance and experience and most of all always putting these loyal gamers on top of their list as they move forward. Like for example Palit Philippines, one of the leading local providers of gaming machines in the country recently held a night of Gamers Gathering in Davao City in partnership with NVIDIA Philippines at the Royal Mandaya Hotel. Luckily I was one of the attendees who enjoyed this get together that was held on July 16, 2015.
Along with some nice food on the table, a lot of gaming gears were also on display and the Nvidia people led by Mr. Marvin Uy even put up a couple of complete PC set ups to demonstrate the power of their new graphics card processors especially the newest GeForce GTX 980 Ti. Of course prizes and give aways were not missing, we did not just enjoy the night and learn new stuff about the gaming universe but also went home with some Palit and NVIDIA-provided freebies. Who doesn't like that?
Before the event started, each and everyone of us had the chance to take a personal and closer look at all the items on display. And what really caught my attention is the whole PC set up situated near the stage which according to Marvin Uy was personally brought by him all the way from Manila. The beast on display is powered by the newest GTX 980 Ti GPU and you guess what game is on the GSync-equipped 4K monitor sitting right next to it? The Witcher III: Wild Hunt all set-up to the highest settings.
I am not into gaming but had some experience in the field, you know those days were PlayStation 1 was a big deal and arcade-type and RPG games were just gaining momentum? Yeah I was there. And looking at how the Witcher III is rendered on the 4K monitor, the display, motion, the audio and all that stuff, it made me rethink my decision to stay away from gaming. Although one of the hardcores I talked to at the event said that the whole experience he had trying the PC and game was not so perfect since the Witcher III is a very demanding game in terms of hardware requirements, but assured me that that was the closest best experience he had playing it.
And then Palit Philippines Product manager Ms. Jeca Yuson-Ucang and NVIDIA Philippines representative Mr. Marvin Uy took the center stage to talk about this newest, flagship yet more affordable GTX 980 Ti graphics and some other graphics they had at the venue. Why gamers should be excited about it and why they should get and bring one home and Mr. Uy also took some time to give us tips on how we can build the best gaming PC without costing us so much money since most of us would think that playing the high-end games and building computers to run them would cost us more cash.
Marvin Uy went on discussing about the GTX 980 Ti's features and functions and some other sources we get get our hands on to learn more about new trends in the gaming like what is the GeForce Experience, Play the Future and GeForce Garage. GeForce Garage for example is very helpful place for new gamers or for those who plan to jump into the fray. If you are a newbie in the gaming world and have no idea how you would start building your PC, you should check that one.

After a load of information that was unleashed by Mr. Uy, the next guest speaker was called Dennis (below) and he is a PC modder he is also popularly known as BreadKnife by the local gamers especially those who are active in forums and other community site for gaming. Sir Dennis, talked about modding or modifying PCs, why so many gamers prefer modding their rigs, the benefits and some other stuff that only up-to-date gamers would understand.
That sums up my experience and what happened at the Palit Nvidia Gamers Gathering last July 16. If you want to learn more upcoming products and happenings from Palit Philippines, you may like their page of Facebook.
I personally enjoyed it and now already looking forward to the next Games Gathering from Palit Philippinies.
