Be your hometown ambassador and put your hometown on the map!
Smart Communications Inc has officially opened the registration and submission window for this year's Doon Po Sa Amin (DPSA) video-making competition. Just in case you do not know yet, this is the telco's 8th year in running this contest, this is also the first and longest-running crowd-sourcing competition with aims to uncover the best and unique Filipino hometown stories.
Public Affairs Group Head Ramon Isberto said "Through DPSA, we encourage Pinoys to join the digital discussion by taking part in documenting Philippine culture and history for the entire world to appreciate," he also added "With this project, we want to elevate Filipino pride and urge everyone to become local ambassadors of their hometowns,"This nationwide competition will have two divisions available for all participants to join and those are the Students Division and the Open Division. As you may have already found out, the former is for all high school and college students while the latter is for other participants or non-students. Everyone is invited to submit their video entries, it can be music videos, short plugs, travel videos that show and tell interesting stories about their hometowns - history, traditions, destinations, delicacies, festival etc.
You can submit your video entries starting today until September 25, 2015 and the winner will be scored against the following criteria.
1. Content = 40%
2. Creativity = 30%
3. Execution = 20%
4. Impact = 10%
More than Php300,000 prizes await the winners.
All entries will be posted on the dedicated and official Doon Po Sa Amin website, together with other stories that were submitted since the competition began. You may also visit the website for more details about the contest and see those previous submissions so you can have an idea how those participants crafted their entries.
