You read that absolutely right! Sony Philippines has already brought the sexiest Android tablet in the Philippines with a pricing, however, that is not as sexy as the specs and features it offers. If you want to get one, that will cost you a hefty Php42,990. But, does that price tag fair enough for what users can get out of the newest Xperia tablet? Let's take a look.
Sony first debuted the Xperia Z4 Tablet back in March of this year at the annual Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and upon hearing what the device would be offering to the market, many fell in love with it easily and it features most of the specs everyone wanted to see on their next gadget, plus it comes with its own Bluetooth and NFC-powered keyboard dock called BKB50 Bluetooth Keyboard.
This tablet is a direct installment to last year's Xperia Z2 Tablet. The slate's screen features a netbook-sized 10.1-inch display with Quad HD (2560x1600) resolution which ends up with a pretty nice pixel density of 300ppi and that's a significant update from last year. Triluminos display technology is also onbaord with this beast. There's still a Qualcomm-made processor sitting inside the Z4 Tablet but instead of Snapdragon 801, it is now a 64-bit eight-core Snapdragon 810 processor paired up with a 3GB of RAM to accommodate all multi-tasking needs.
Furthermore, the Z4 Tablet includes a 32GB default memory space which can be expanded via microSD card for up to 128GB. That's so much space for files, music and videos for an average tablet user. Powered by the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop mobile OS, the device features rear and front cameras just like many others. The back facing one sports an 8MP lens with Sony Exmor RS sensor while on the front panel is a 5MP one all with a wide-angle lens.
Also the device sports a very thin 6.1mm profile measurement and as light as 365grams, most likely the thinnest tablet I have ever encountered. Sony unveiled that this particular machine will be available in two variants one in WiFi only and another with LTE connectivity, good thing for the hefty price tag Pinoy users will have the LTE version, according to Yugatech blog at least. And of course the battery is offering a massive 6,000mAh juice.
Sony Mobile claimed that this tablet can also appeal to gamers as they included a PS4 Remote Play functionality in it. This means that any PS4 console owner can stream the game they are playing to this Z4 Tablet and at the same time connect a DualShock controller to it via bluetooth. Gamers won't need to play where the PlayStation 4 is located anymore, they can now play anywhere in the house using this tablet, this is something I really about it. Portability.
