This promo will work on all internet-capable smartphones and even in feature phones. You are not using Sun Cellular SIM? Don't worry, the telco said that even Smart prepaid and Talk N' Text subscribers will also be able to take advantage of the free Facebook promo.
So how to register and start enjoying the free Facebook access from Sun Cellular?
Actually there is no need to do some texting of codes to some dedicated numbers. This will be automatically activated on your device. However you have to make sure that you have the latest version of the Facebook app and this will determine and tell you that you are eligible for a free Facebook access from SunCel. Once your app is updated, you will see a tiny "Switch Icon" on the upper left of your Facebook app, you simply click on it and switch to "Free" mode to start using the app without incurring any additional charge. Now if you want to access the full features of the Facebook app, you simply switch it back to "Paid" mode and you're okay, you can do this when you can now connect to a WiFi or subscribe to a Sun Cell Facebook data plan.
Take note that when you are on "Free" mode while using the app, you won't be able to see photos and videos.
