VFX Reel for Game of Thrones "Hardhome" Episode Shows How the CGIs Were Made

Spoilers Ahead! The Game of Thrones Season 5 has just ended a couple of weeks ago and many of us still couldn't move on from what exactly happened especially during the last couple of episodes. Episode 8 titled as "Hardhome" is deemed to be the best episodes of the entire Game of Thrones TV series since Season 1, at least that's my claim and so many other GoT fans from around the world.

Events in Hardhome episode most of all in the place itself called Hardhome were very unexpected and epic. Because this is where we had a very great look at the White Walkers and the Wights in full glory, how scary they are and how fatal they can be to the people of the World of Ice and Fire series. This is also where we discovered that a Valyrian steel can shatter a White Walker to death when Jon Snow's sword called Longclaw made the shocking revelation after killing one.

All I can say is, that was a very great episode and that is something I am willing to watch over and over without tire, at least for now. Hopefully future Seasons and episode will be able to overthrow the awesomeness and epicness of this Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 8.

This GoT's Hardhome is also one of the most CGI-heavy episodes of the franchise and according to what I have read a few weeks back, the production team took about two weeks to complete the filming and who knows how long it took them to put all those post-filming visual effects. Speaking of visual effects, the Spanish VFX company called El Ranchio released a 4-minute video clip breakingdown the effects made for the season like which ones were real and which ones were computer generated ones. Check it out below.
