Microsoft has been focusing on entry and mid range level Lumia devices in the past few months and of course on the recent release of the newest Windows 10 OS across the globe, but that does not mean the company is not preparing flagship Lumia smartphones to be released soon. Rumors and unconfirmed reports suggest that Microsoft will be announcing their new devices either in late September of early October. Some even tell that the phones would be called Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.
Speaking of these Lumia flagship devices, a Chinese source sent several photos of the alleged handset to the website called WPXAP. The images give us a first and closer look to what the upcoming Lumia devices would look like. It's very clear that the images are showing the device to be a prototype version and covered in a protective back casing to avoid leaks and the full design of the phone.
The photos also confirmed, if real, a couple of features to be seen in the next high-end Lumia phones. Actually even The Verge site says that the images are accurate and will sport the following specs...
- Type C USB port
- 2K Resolution
- 5.2" and 5.7" screen sizes
- The Lumia 950 XL will sport Microsoft Surface Pen
- 20MP rear camera
This is very exciting especially if Microsoft will ship the device already running the new Windows 10 OS right out of the box.
