Samsung Philippines Reveals Local Pricing and Release Date for Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge+

Not only that Samsung Electronics made an earlier-than-usual announcement of the newest Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ globally, even here in the Philippines we also got an early launch event and most of all, just like many folks in other Samsung's key markets, the Philippines will also have an early release of these two hottest phablets. Samsung Philippines has revealed official pricing for the devices, pre-order and availability date.

For some reason only the 32GB version of the Galaxy Note 5 has been mentioned bearing a price tag of Php36,990. Both devices come in 32GB and 64GB variants, and as of writing it's not clear yet if and when the 64GB Note 5 will be released in the country. For the Galaxy S6 Edge+, both variants will be available and pegged at Php39,990 for the 32GB and Php44,990 for the 64GB. Just like in the US, the S6 Edge+ still bears the higher price tag despite not having its own S-Pen.

Pre-order starts now August 17 and devices are promised to be ready for picked up and even for purchase starting September 5. That's again earlier than the previous Note smart devices, usually we get new Galaxy Notes in either November or December, but for the Note 5 and S6 Edge+, it's different.

A number of freebies await those users who will pre-order either of the two smartphones from August 17 to August 30, 2015, and these are the following...

- Fast wireless charger worth Php 2,299
- Clear view cover worth Php 2,299
- 1-year Accidental Damage and Theft Insurance with Malayan
- Micro USB Connector worth Php 599

    1. I think so, because if the price will be the same, as a consumer I will choose the latest and more updated one. It's just a matter of short waiting before Smart officially does the price cutting : ). If I am not mistaken, they have already done it, but I still have to double check. : )
