Asus ZenFone Go Now in the Philippines

Asus is still very busy releasing new phones in most of the tech markets they are in and that is including the Philippines. Last week we just officially got new ZenFones in the local market such as the ZenFone 2 Deluxe, ZenFone Selfie and ZenFone Laser. I actually thought that was it and we won't be hearing another at least one more device in the coming weeks or even months. I was wrong. ZenFone Go has just arrived in the Philippines.

If I remember it right, the ZenFone Go is the most budget-friendly version of the recent ZenFone series of devices from the Taiwanese company with only being priced at just Php5,995. Of course with that price tag and compare it with other siblings, we expect some downgrades or changes with this ZenFone Go. Most notable is the processor which is a MediaTek MT6580 chip clocked at 1.3GHz and is a quad-core one. Alongside the processor is a 2GB of RAM which is very nice, at least it's not 1GB or lower.

Then for internal storage for apps and documents and photos, there is a 16GB of memory space. It does support microSD card up to 64GB. Now talking about the camera configurations, on the back sits an 8MP lens all equipped with autofocus and f/2.0 aperture for better quality of images. On front is a 2MP shooter. Good thing is, the Asus ZenFone Go runs on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop that means a lot of bugs and issues from 5.0 version are already fixed.

There is no LTE support though but 3G connectivity should be at least enough for average internet activities like browsing and posting updates on social media sites.

I will need to get my hands on this device to give you more personal insight about its looks and most of all performance. But if I am asked right now, I think the ZenFone Go is one of the best devices you can get for Php6k price range.
