Yesterday Sony Philippines held a local media event to formally and officially launch their new flagship smartphones in the Philippine market. Sony did not announce one flagship, but there are three of them catering to a wider smartphone consumer base. I guess this is the current trend now that every company is no longer releasing one flagship device at a time, there has to be atleast two of them and Sony is no exception to that. So what are these smartphones called? Those are the Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 and the more powerful and feature packed one Xperia Z5 Premium.

As you may have already guessed, these three smartphone will mostly vary in screen sizes and resolution with minor to significant differences in terms of specs, features and pricing. As for the size of the screen the devices will, respectively, offer 4.7-inch HD display (Z5 Compact), 5.2-inch Full HD display (Z5) and 5.5-inch 4k display (Z5 Premium). Yup, you read the last one correctly, it sports 4K resolution not Quad HD. How does that translate into pixel arrangement? That would be 3840 x 2160 for 4K resolution, Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 devices feature Quad-HD display which is equal to 2560 x 1440 resolution so you can see the actual difference.
All of these phones share the following specs. IP68 Certification which makes them waterproofed up to 1.5m deep and can last up to 20-30 minutes under water without having any issues, Octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB RAM (2GB for Z5 Compact), 32GB Internal storage, upto LTE network support and Android 5.1 Lollipop. You can check out the rest of the key specs below.
