Netflix Now in the Philippines

Finally, the most popular movie streaming service in the US and in some parts of the world has now arrived in the Philippines. The Philippines is one of the newest additions to the new countries Netflix is expanding to, and according to the company's most recent announcement there are a total of 130 new countries to benefit Netflix's services.

This recent expansion now makes Netflix accessible to about 190 countries worldwide and also now supports 17 different languages including Arabic, Korean and simplified and traditional Chinese.

As of right now, you can head to the Netflix official website and you should be able to access it from your smartphone or computer without the need to use a VPN, and it should reflect its Philippine price. And speaking of plan prices, it is actually not as affordable as iflix but knowing what Netflix has in its online shelves you will definitely understand that the asking price is very reasonable.

If you sign up right now, you will be able to take advantage of free access and stream for one month and that's unlimited. Once free trial is expired you can select from one of the streaming plans Netflix offers (see chart below) which starts at Php370/month.

One of the best things about Netflix is unlike cable services, subscribers are not on a contract or lock-in basis. Meaning they can sign up and cancel their subscriptions whenever they want and upgrade or downgrade their plans at will without incurring any penalty or pre-termination fee. Sounds cool right?

I think I will try it right now and experience movie streaming from the comfort of my smartphone and from wherever I am. We have Netflix at the office and we have the freedom to use it anytime for as long as we do it outside of our working time, apart from so many movies, documentaries and TV series to choose from, Netflix also updates their shows almost every month, which is very nice.

Starting today, we can now watch our Netflix-only favourite series like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Narcos or Sense8 and the upcoming ones legally.
