The Zenfone family just keeps on expanding. Asus Philippines, on their Facebook page, a couple of days ago teased that there would be a new and enhanced variant of Zenfone 2 Laser coming out in a few days. Fast forward to today, Asus officially unveiled the Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5 S. S is for Stunning according to Asus in case you were wondering.
For the most part, this new Zenfone Laser 2 5.5 S is the same Laser Autofocus-equipped smartphone from Asus we know but with more powerful processor, bigger RAM and larger internal storage.
From 2GB RAM, there is now 3GB RAM which means a much better navigation experience without lagging. More RAM allows users to run more apps at the same time without the device leaving you lagging or slowing down. From 16GB, there is now 32GB right out of the box, bigger space means more files, songs and videos you can store in the ZenFone 2 Laser 5.5 S without the help of a microSD card. This phone still supports memory card though, up to 128GB.
Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5 S (ZE550KL) specs:
- 5.5" HD IPS Display

The Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5S has a suggested retail price of Php8,995 (from Php8,6995), not much of a difference in terms of price but for just an additional Php300 users are to get much more than it's worth. For now, we don't know when this variant will be available in the local market. If my guess is right, I am thinking it will be released alongside Asus ZenFone 3 which Asus had just teased to be unveiled at the end of May, but I could be wrong.
