Finally, the Alcatel Flash Plus 2 smartphone is now official and it has a bunch of upgrades compared to the last year's iteration. First off, this device will be released in two variants and those are 2GB RAM/16GB storage and 3GB/32GB version.
The Alcatel Flash Plus 2, as the name implies, is the official sequel to last year's successful Flash Plus that was exclusively sold via Lazada Philippines.
Flash Plus 2 is just a very premium-looking smartphone with very affordable price tags, it's one of the major wins for Flash Plus series of phone, powerful specs for less, and that what made the first installment very successful. Later this post I will let you know how much this phone is going to be for. So for now let's talk about first its specs and features and why it should be on top of your smartphone list.
Right off the bat, the Flash Plus 2 is a metal-clad device, a nice-looking one, however the back plate is still a removable and replaceable one. Having a removable metal back plate has somehow become an instict now, so it's a nice thing that Alcatel is keeping it this way.
One of the new prominent features on the Flash Plus 2 is the implementation of its own Fingerprint Sensor which is capable of responding as fast as 0.5 seconds, plus it can read fingerprints in any orientation as it has 360-degree detection functionality.
As for the basic technical specifications, the Flash Plus 2 now sports 5.5-inch Full HD display with one-glass solution on its screen. Then for the insides, it is powered by the powerful MediaTek Helio P10 processor and is either being paired with 2GB or 3GB of RAM. Again, storage wise, there will be 16GB and 32GB options, and both support microSD card up to 128GB. The camera department is also pretty attracting, on the back sits a 13MP shooter with Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) for much faster and more accurate focusing especially in low light scenarios. For selfie purposes, there is a 5MP front facing camera.
To keep everything running smoothly, the Flash Plus 2 is going to offer the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow rightout of the box. Thankfully, this particular version of Android is already installed here and no need to wait for the update.
And also, audiophiles were in mind when Alcatel was building this latest offering as it is embedded with a HiFi chip to provide a superb audio quality. It has an NXP9890 Audio Ampifier inside it, increasing the speaker power to 3.6W and amplifies the sound up to 3-8 times or 5-9dB. I am excited to experience how cool this particular feature is in real life. See more specs below.
