In August of 2016, Davaoenos celebrated the 31st Kadayawan Festival, an annual week-long thanksgiving event held in the heart of Davao City. During this time of celebration, lots of activities, contests, product demonstrations, parties and more are being held in many parts of the city by different brands and companies from inside and outside of Davao. One of those brands is Yamaha Motor Philippines that joined the people of Davao in this biggest festivity in the south.
Yamaha Philippines introduced the Mio Ride Your Story campaign to the region that featured the Mio Sporty, Mio i 125, Mio Sould i 125 and Mio 125 Mxi. The event took place at the Rizal Park where all of these Mio variants were on display for the public to check out. Test rides were also offered to the davaoenos to determine which of the models best suit them in case they want to buy one.
Main celebration of Yamaha at this event was a party for everyone in attendance with live performance from Pupil which included Ely Buendia and of course Yeng Constantino. Yamaha Philippines also joined the Kadayawan Grand Parade sporting the Mio products.
