MacBook Air and HP Spectre 13 laptops have to step aside as the thinnest laptop title now belongs to the newly announced Acer Swift 7. The Apple-made lappy is at 17mm while Hewlett-Packard device sports 10.4mm, but the Acer Swift 7 is pegged at 9.98mm. And it is actually not only about that feat, this machine also offers pretty nice specs. And no, Acer did not sacrifice either its ports or battery to achieve this thinness.
Right out of the box, the Acer Swift 7 sports a 13.3-inch Full HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. As you can see in the press image above, this is running on the latest Windows 10 OS. And when it comes to its internals, it has already been announced that this laptop will have Intel's 7th Generation Core i5 "Kaby Lake" processor, alongside that powerful processor is 8GB of memory or RAM and 256GB SSD storage.
Users will get two USB-C 3.1 ports on this one where the first one's for charging and the other for data, and a 3.5mm headphone jack as well. In the battery department, Acer claims this machine to last up to 9 hours on a single charge. It weights just 1.1kg.
The Acer Swift 7 will be first available in the US beginning next month starting at a suggested retail price of $999.
