One of my most used Windows applications, called Paint, is about to get a brand new look in the coming weeks. That is if the recent reports and this newly released demo video are to be believed.
It was actually back in May when I first heard the news that Microsoft was working on a revamped version of the Paint app for Windows 10. Now in addition to the Paint features and functionalities that we have loved to use over the years, Microsoft is also adding new UI and more complex functions to it. One of those is the 3D support. Yes that is right, with this new Paint you can now create 3D images very easily.
Below is one of the videos that was unearthed by some eagle-eyed tech enthusiasts online showing a preview and some cool new features of this new Paint app. Check it out.
As we can see in the video above, it appears that the 3D functionalities are more optimized for pen and touch activated screens. Later this month Microsoft has confirmed that they will be holding an event at which the company is expected to release new Windows Surface products together with this new free image editing tool. Is the new Paint only Surface-exclusive version? We will know that later. But don't worry it looks like this app will also be rolled out to other Windows 10 devices and computers in the future.
