Is this the Upcoming Huawei P10 Plus Smartphone?

For a highly successful P9 and P9 Plus series of smartphones from Huawei last year, it is highly unlikely that we are not to see at least a follow up to those dual-camera (and Leica-approved) equipped mobile phones this year. Additionally, Huawei is expected to unveil new flagship smartphone offering at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2017 which is about to happen in a couple of months from now. That being said, it is no surprise that we are now starting to see leaked information and images about the rumored P10 and P10 Plus devices.

Today a new leaked image just popped up online from a Chinese website showing the alleged Huawei P10 Plus smartphone. This single image which shows the front and back panel of the device already tells us a lot of details on the upcoming P10 Plus. And thankfully, GSMArena site is courteous enough to itemize those specs and featurse that we can expect from this particular model.

First off according to the image and reports, the Huawei P10 Plus will sport a larger 5.5-inch display and as the photo also shows, it will have curved front panel display which is very similar to the current Huawei Mate 9 Pro device. Additionally, this could be the very first handset in the smartphone scene to be equipped with two biometric sensors - a fingerprint scanner and an iris scanner. If this leaked photo is real, then we are really looking at the P10 Plus with an additional sensor on the front panel near the 8MP front camera, which is suspected to be an iris scanner. Also, in addition to the now present physical home button on the same panel just below the display which is where the fingerprint scanner is expected to be embedded in, but there is another round button sitting on the back cover that also looks to be a fingerprint scanner enabled. Either this phone will really have two fingerprint sensor or just one on the back like the P9 and P9 Plus and then users will just get an additional home button without the sensor function.

And of course, the photo shows the device being equipped with dual 12MP rear camera as well. Most likely a Leica-approved lenses as well. Then there is a new one here just next to those two shooters, a ring-flash that surrounds the laser autofocus sensor, which is pretty exciting as well.

Rumors also suggest that this P10 Plus will be powered by Huawei's homegrown Kirin 965 processor and will come in two configurations. According to these unconfirmed reports, this phone will have a 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model and another with crazy 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. Plus a much bigger 3650mAh battery pack to keep the lights on.

So far those are the available information we have on this upcoming Huawei P10 Plus smartphone, which is again are based on rumors and speculations. The real deal will become official once Huawei makes the appearance and announcement at the Mobile World Congress in late February.
