Total Recall Trailers: 2012 vs 1990

I didn't know until recently that the movie "Total Recall" had a 1990 release that was being starred by none other than my childhood favorite American actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Funny thing is he is my favorite actor but I still don't memorize how to spell his last name with checking Google.

2012, twenty-two years after the original movie release, here is Colin Farrell starring as Douglas Quaid for the Total Recall 2012 remake. See the trailers below.

In this movie Farrell is with Kate Beckinsale and Bill Nighy (Underworld), Jessica Biel, Bryan Cranston, John Cho.

What I usually expect from a remake or even a sequel is something that is great and never shown from the previous one(s). Based from the trailers of the two, I can see a lot of differences of course that is due to technology availability at the time of productions. Although I have not seen the original one and it is now outdated, I think it is still worth watching.

Total Recall 2012 synopsis:

A factory worker, Douglas Quaid, begins to suspect that he is a spy after visiting Rekall - a company that provides its clients with implanted fake memories of a life they would like to have led - goes wrong and he finds himself on the run.  -

Total Recall 1990 synopsis:

When a man goes for virtual vacation memories of the planet Mars, an unexpected and harrowing series of events forces him to go to the planet for real, or does he?

The movie that starred Colin Farrell opens nationwide on August 22, 2012 Distributed by Columbia Pictures.  Directed by Len Wiseman. Running time: 118 minutes and it based on the story "We can Remember It For You Wholesale" by Philip K. Dick.
