Google Cancels Android Event On Oct 29

Almost two weeks ago Google sent out invitations to the media for its Android event to take place on October 29th in the US. The invitations says "The playground is open"

Yesterday, the Android maker notified the press through email that it's cancelling the product launch event to be held on Monday in New York City due to Hurricane Sandy.

So Microsoft will have that day as they also set their Windows Phone 8 product launch on October 29th.

Google, like what most tech blogs report, is expected two main gadgets, the LG-made Nexus 4 smartphone and the Samsung-manufactured 10-inch Nexus 10 tablet and a possible Android operating system update and most refer to it as the Android 4.2 or Key Lime Pie.

The search giant has yet to announce the new date for the Android event. This is the second time a Nexus tech event Google has cancelled, last time was when Apple former CEO died and that cancellation was to pay respect to Jobs.
