Huawei Reveals Their First Windows Phone 8 Ascend W1

Currently there are Nokia, Samsung and HTC offering Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 operating system in some of their devices, and most recently Huawei just confirmed that they are joining the club by
unveiling its first Windows Phone 8 device, the Ascend W1.
It is not a super high end phone though but it's good to hear the we are having new players sporting the Windows Phone 8 mobile OS. Ascend W1 will come out with a 4-inch IPS Display and a resolution of
480x800. This new Ascend phone's machine will be powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chip. RAM is pegged at 512MB.

There is an allocated 4GB of internal storage and can be expanded via microSD card.

The Ascend W1 will run on Microsoft's latest mobile operating system Windows Phone 8. There will be a 5-megapixel camera and a VGA front shooter. Battery flaunts a 1,950mAh which Huawei claims can last up to
470 hours of stand by time.

Additional information provided by the Chinese company is that W1 will be available first in China and Russia and will soon be followed by UK under Telefonica O2 carrier.

Pricing was not mentioned plus no additional markets where this smartphone will also be sold to so we have to wait on that in the coming announcements.
