Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus Confirmed

August of 2012 there was a rumour going around about Samsung's plan to release an updated version of one of its most popular Galaxy S smartphones which is the Galaxy S II. The South Korea based electronics company just confirmed that rumour when they announced the Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus recently.
Majority of the Galaxy S 2 plus' features are relatively the same as what are found in the original S2 device with some additional updates. The most significant upgrade on the S2 Plus is its operating system where it will be pre-installed with Google's Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. The original Galaxy S 2 when released in 2011 came out with Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

As for the cameras, the new device will still bear the 8-megapixel rear camera with an LED Flash and a front facing one at 2MP. But there's an additional feature to it which is the Zero-lag Shutter Speed, this enables the back camera to easily capture fast-moving objects. Now the storage aspect of this smartphone, I don't know if it's going to be a good news or what as the S2 Plus can now support microSD card of up to 64GB compared to up to 32GB of the previous version, however the internal memory of this new Android device has been trimmed down to just 8GB. What do you think?

Under its hood remains the 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, as well as sporting a 4.3 inch WVGA Super AMOLED Plus display.

Additionally, Direct Call feature has been added to this phone where a user can automatically dial a call by holding the handset next to the ear. Then there is S Voice that lets users control the phone via voice commands and that is accompanied by Voice Unlock functionality. Smart Stay is also part of this new Samsung phone, it detects if a user is looking away from the screen and then it dims the handset display.

Samsung has yet to announce the Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus pricing and availability.
