Apple Releases iOS 6.1.3 Update

Finally Apple has released a software update to its iOS operating system that patches the iDevice lock screen security flaw, the iOS 6.1.3.

More than a month ago, there was a YouTube video where a user shows how to bypass the phone's lock screen through a series of press-and-hold actions and lets users to access photo album, voicemail, contacts and even make phone calls.

The iOS update also includes improvements to maps in Japan where turn by turn navigation, pronunciation of directions, and 3D imagery were enhanced. One other thing that the iOS 6.1.3 brings is once you update
to this version this will lock the phone from being "jailbreakable", well until a new jailbreak hack is built at least.

The new iOS 6.1.3 version is available for download to iPhones 3GS, 4, 4S and 5. iPad 2 and later and iPod Touch 4th gen and later.

You can download the update via over the air through your device or via desktop on iTunes website.
