Samsung Makes Galaxy S4 Official

Samsung, South Korea's electronics giant, announced on March 14 at Radio Music Hall in New York City their next flagship smartphone of the year, the Samsung Galaxy S4.

One thing I noticed about this new Android phone of Samsung, it is almost as identical as its predecessor which is the Galaxy SIII in physical design. It's just of course, the Galaxy S4 is bigger than the previous Galaxy S with a screen measurement of 4.99 inches versus SIII's 4.8-inch screen. Further difference is the Galaxy S4 is much thinner than its older brother boasting a 7.9mm thinness.

For some reason, Samsung decided to launch this SIV in two different configurations where the first one will have an Exynos 5 1.6GHz Octa processor and second one with a Snapdragon 600 quad core chip. To me, with those options, we can also expect this smartphone with two different price tags if both configurations will be available in the Philippines.

Aside from the usual smartphone [upgraded] specifications that S4 offers, there are other features that Samsung included in this new Galaxy S installment. Smart Pause holds things up when you look away from the screen, Air Gesture lets you jump from one music track,  picture to another or even answer incoming calls  without even touching the screen. Another thing we can look forward to using in this phone is the cameras' new functionality where a user can capture photos or videos using the back and front lenses at the same time and combine/mix them later on.

Samsung Galaxy S4 specifications:
