Cherry Mobile Unveils Fusion Wave Tablet

Last week Cherry Mobile posted a photo teaser on their Facebook page about "The Wave is coming" with an image of a tablet bearing the Cherry Mobile name and logo. The local electronics brand introduces Cherry Mobile Fusion Wave and yes it is an tablet.

Cherry Mobile recently announced its new Android tablet that offers a quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz using Samsung Exynos chip with Mali-400 GPU paired with 1GB of RAM. If I remember it right, this is the very first local tablet brand that offers this kind of processor that is made by Korea-based electronics company Samsung. This makes the device stands out from the local competition as it is the same processor Samsung uses on many of its Galaxy devices so that is really a plus this tablet has.

There is just one spec about the Fusion Wave that would make us less happy, its Android software is a little bit outdated as it only has Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) OS right out of the box. We know that most of the newly launched Android powered gadgets today run on Jelly Bean, Google current version of Android.

Other offerings we see in the CM Fusion Wave is it has an 8" IPS Capacitive touch screen display, both the rear and front cameras have 2 megapixels. The Fusion Wave comes with 8GB internal storage and it is expandable via microSD card up to 32GB plus the tablet's battery has 5,100mAh. All of it for only Php7,499 price tag.

A post on says the Cherry Mobile Fusion Wave supports WiFi connectivity for internet purposes and it also has a feature called WiFi hotspot (for sharing internet connection). If using the tablet needs a help of a mouse or keyboard, CM Fusion Wave got you covered as it has a USB port that can be used for using such accessories. You can get your hands on the new Cherry Mobile slate once it becomes available before this June ends.
