Here Comes The New Samsung Galaxy S4 Active

We know that Samsung just unveiled the Galaxy S4 Mini which is the trimmed version of its current flagship device Galaxy S4. And then  last month Google launched a nexus-treated S4 called Galaxy S4 Google Edition. Today there is another S4 brother to be added to the line, the Korean company announced the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active.

The S4 Active targets people who have an "Active" life outdoors like mountaineers, athletes and travelers to name a few. This rugged version of Galaxy S4 will go head-to-head with Sony's Xperia Z and Xperia ZR.

"The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active is designed to enhance life experiences of the active user who wants to stay connected while exploring environments from the most rugged mountain trails to the roughest rivers," said Samsung.

For those (Galaxy) smartphones fans who are most of the time afraid to bring your expensive handsets near the beach because of fear of the phone getting wet this is a perfect Galaxy device for you. Why? Because S4 Active is designed to be able to submerge into water up to 3 feet deep and for about up to 30 minutes. Cool right? One more thing is its dust proof feature, so if you are a traveler or the one who works in a construction site, the dust-related worries are now addressed in this new S4 variant.

Samsung Galaxy S4 will sport 5" Full HD TFT LCD screen, a 1.9GHz quad-core processor. The camera on this one versus its eldest brother S4's 13MP, S4 Active will have an 8-megapixel shooter on the back that features "Aqua Mode" which enhances clarity of photos and videos taken underwater plus a 2MP front camera. Battery is going to be a 2,600mAh one. The Active comes in three color selections urban grey, dive blue and orange flare and will land in US and Sweden this summer but the price has not yet revealed.
