The All New Blackberry Z30 With 5" Display with BB 10.2 OS

Blackberry seems to not know what the word surrender means as it just introduced its new smartphone offering that features a 5-inch Super AMOLED display and running on the Canadian company's latest BB 10.2 OS, the all new Blackberry Z30 is the tech firm's "biggest, fastest and most advanced smartphone" to date. Read on for more details after the jump.

Right out of the box you will get the Blackberry Z30 boasting a 5" Super AMOLED display which is the same technology Samsung uses on their Galaxy smartphones. With that screen size the resolution or pixels are arranged at 1280x720 which is equivalent to 295ppi. Under the hood are also powerful specs and chips, it will be run by a 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with a support of a quad-core Adreno 320 GPU plus the 2GB of RAM for seamless multitasking activities. For internal storage capacity the BB Z30 will instantly come with 16GB space which also can be expanded via microSD card. Another part of the technical specifications that the Blackberry offers in this phablet, aside from the bigger screen, are the battery and the new BB10 OS which will be shipped out with a 2,880mAh juice and BB10 version 10.2 OS respectively. According to the announcement article, that battery size is enough for the handset to last for 25 hours of "mixed use", this is also the first time Blackberry has used this a battery this big on their devices as what is stated in the post.

The cameras are not that enticing compared to what other high profile smaphones and phablets offer nowadays. 8MP for the rear one and 2-megapixel for the front facing lens. The antenna also got a new technology where it will still provide better signal reception for  low-signal areas, it lessens dropped calls and provides faster data transfer.

Blackberry also added that its BBM app is "now in any app", which means users can now preview incoming BBM messages whatever apps they are currently in. On that same instance users can dismiss, reply or read the message without leaving the other app.

The Blackberry Z30 will be available in UK and Middle East starting next week, with other regions getting the phone before the holidays. The BB 10.2 OS should be available sometime in October for other BB10 devices such as Z10, Q10 and Q5. For more information about this device, see the video below released by Blackberry.
