CM Announces Cherry Mobile Jelly

The year 2013 is almost over as we are now in the month of November but Cherry Mobile doesn't seem to be finished yet about its 2013 line up of smartphones as the Pinoy electronics brand just unveiled via its Facebook page the Cherry Mobile Jelly. With a tag line that says "So, what's your flavor? #CMJelly?" Read on for more details after the jump.

It seems like Cherry Mobile has realized that colored smartphones are getting a lot of attentions these days. See Nokia's Lumia phones, Asha phones and the new Apple iOS device iPhone 5C and their color selections? I don't know about you, but I find those colored smartphones very attractive and cool to use in public instead of a default black or white versions. So to me, this move by Cherry Mobile is a brilliant one especially now that Christmas shopping and releasing of bonuses are coming near plus the CM Jelly comes in a very affordable price with not so low technical specs. I won't be surprised if I will see lots of colorful Cherry Mobile phones being used by people outdoor before the year ends.

So what are we gonna get out of thie Cherry Mobile Jelly? According to the announcement on the Facebook page of Cherry Mobile, the Jelly will sport a 3.5" Capacitive touchscreen display, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor by Mediatek, Android Jelly Bean 4.2 and Dual-SIM and MobileTV capabilities. On the back there is going to be a 5MP camera with the one on front with 0.3MP resolution. The Jelly device will also support FM Radio, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity. The post does not say how much space this handset will come in but it was noted that it will also support microSD card for memory expansion of up to 32GB.

And oh the colors? You can get it in Yellow, Pink, Red, Green and Blue. Five color selections. Just like the Power Rangers. : ). All of that for a price of Php2,299 apiece.

I think we are still to hear additional information about the device in the coming days or weeks.
