Starmobile Diamond X1 An Octa-core Smartphone Coming Out This January

Looks like 2014 is going to be the year of Octa-core smartphones for both local and international names in the technology scene. As early as January next year two octa-core powered smartphones will be released in the wild, the first one is the THL Monkey King 2 and then just this month as well was announced the Starmobile Diamond X1 the first Android smartphone from Happy Man to sport an 8-core processors which will also be released starting next month.

However, there is not much of information about the Diamond X1 as as of today what most tech blogs know about this device is that it will sport a 6-inch screen display. There is an update on TechPinas post claiming that Starmobile sent them an email confirming the Diamond X1 will be powered by a 1.7GHz Octa-core Mediatek MT6592 processor, an 18-Megapixel camera with autofocus feature plus a front facing one sporting an 8MP lens and both snappers will have BSI technology. Starmobile also added that "more details coming soon".

So far the released technical information about this "octaphone" is pretty impressive and I just hope that the other remaining yet-to-be confirmed specs will compliment this eight-cored-smartphone such as the RAM and the battery life. And I think it is more likely to sport a Full HD display, and if that is not the case on this one, then that would be a major turn off for an octaphone with a phablet size display.
