MyPhone Infinity With Octa-core Processor Now Official

In early January and February Cherry Mobile and Startmobile announced their first smartphones with octa-core processors namely Cosmos Z2 and Diamond X1 respectively. While I was writing posts about those first local-branded octaphones, I was thinking when the MyPhone would release their offering. I knew they would release one but I just didn't know when. And then today, tech blog NoypiGeeks reported that MyPhone has officially announced the device called MyPhone Agua Infinity at an event.

The Infinity boasts a 5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display, that's a 1920x1080 resolution and is equivalent to 441 pixels per inch. The Cosmos Z2 also has Full HD display at 440ppi while the Diamond X1 is at 1280x720p display. Aside from that massive and super clear display and 1.7GHz Octa-core Mediatek MT6592 processor, Mali 450MP GPU, Infinity also offers 2GB  of RAM, 16GB internal storage capacity (sadly no microSD slot), 16MP rear camera with Autofocus and LED flash built-in paired with a 5MP front camera and Android 4.2.2 Jelly bean mobile OS right out of the box. Those were the specs reported by NoypiGeeks.

For now the pricing, battery size and other specs are yet to be fully announced so we have to wait on that for a little longer, we might be hearing more info about the MyPhone Infinity in the coming weeks or in March. To give you a little comparison or like how much we can expect this smartphone to be priced, the Cosmos Z2 is for Php12,999 and the Diamond X1 is for Php13,990. Since these first two octa-phones already offer a very competitive specs and pricing, I am pretty sure that MyPhone will price their monster phone not far from these ones.
