Goophone S5 is the Samsung Galaxy S5 Knockoff for Only $299.99

While Samsung has just announced its newest flagship device the Galaxy S5 at their Unpacked5 event at MWC 2014 in Barcelona, there is already a new smartphone out there that exactly copies the looks of the new Galaxy and it is called Goophone S5. The image you see above is not the one from Samsung but the one I am talking about from Goophone website where they sell the smartphone for only $299.99.

The Goophone S5, looking at its webpage, offers a rather competitive specs such as a 5-inch Full HD display 1920x1080 pixel resolution, an Octa-core Mediatek MT6592 processor clocked at 2GHz and a 2GB RAM. Mediatek MT6592 is the same octa-core processor we see in Cherry Mobile Cosmos Z2, MyPhone Infinity and Starmobile Diamond X1 but only at 1.7GHz. By default, the Goophone S5 has 32GB internal storage which is also expandable via microSD card, also an Android 4.2 Jellybean runs on the device which has access to the Google Play as per website of the phone.

Currently the Goophone S5 is listed as out of stock on its online store. This is actually the first time I heard about this brand of gadget but according to other tech blogs, it has been in this industry for years now and has released other knockoff products before such as the ones from Apple and other previous Samsung devices. I wonder if there are people who have made purchases from this site or brand and if their products perform according to the specs. I might want to do some research online and see. What about you? Have you heard this Goophone before?
