LG G Watch an Android Wear Smartwatch

Google has announced its new operating system that was built only for wearable smart devices called the Android Wear. Motorola also just unveiled its first smartwatch running that new Android Wear, the Moto 360. And following those tech giants, LG has just confirmed that they joining the party by revealing the LG G Watch, the same as Moto 360 it is also powered by the same Android Platform.

Main functions of the LG G Watch as also what the Korean company focused on are to help users monitor their health and enable them to follow other exercise goals. Others are to be able to call a taxi, make restaurant reservations, send text messages and many more. And unlike Moto 360 which sports a classic round face, the G Watch features a common but sleek rectangular shape.

LG G Watch is also voice-command enabled and to initiate this feature, users simply need to say "Okay Google" to it. LG promised that this wrist worn technology collaboration with Google will be able to work with a number of Android smartphones around. And even though Motorola was first to announced an Android Wear smartwatch, LG says the new platform will debut on the G Watch.

This LG G Watch is currently planned for Q2 release in the US but as of writing other basic and important details of the device are not revealed yet but the company promised to make it available in the coming months together with its official price.
