Motorola Introduces the Moto 360, Android Wear-powered Smartwatch

While Google officially announced its new operating system for wearable devices called Android Wear, Motorola also took the chance to unveil their smartwatch to sport the said platform, Motorola introduces Moto 360. Sounds like a game console from Xbox, but nope it's a smartwatch ready to be released this year.

Just like Google, in a blog post by Motorola, they released a video clip (see below) that talks about this new Moto 360 smartwatch. Hit the play button and see it.

I like the design of this Moto 360. It features the classic round or "360" shape of a typical wristwatch of old but inside it is a super modern software beast powered by Google. Lior Ron, Motorola's Corporate Vice President called this device "a truly modern timepiece," in the same blogpost where the announcement of Moto 360 was made. "It's time for a watch that looks and feels great and gives you the information you need, when you need it" Ron added.

Expect the Moto 360 to be released starting this summer in the US and to the rest of the world. And more details about the device to follow soon.
