Sony Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 Dual Announced, Budget Smartphone with a Heart of Music

Sony also unveiled a much more affordable entry level smartphone, in addition to the flagship Xperia Z2 smartphone this year, at the CES 2014 in January and these are called the Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 Dual.As what their names suggest, these two sport single and dual SIM functionality respectively and then the rest of the specs will be identically the same. It's a budget Android device and at the same time a music-centric piece of gadget as it boasts a 100db-loud speakers.

And the technical specs that these smartphones share are 4-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 480x800 pixel arrangement and 233ppi. Powering the device is a 1.2GHz Dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor and a 512MB of RAM which are good enough for average smartphone users. There is a 4GB built in storage space but can be expanded via microSD card for up to 32GB. There is only a 3MP rear camera which is capable of video recording with 720p resolution, sadly there is no front facing camera for selfie and video calling purposes. A 1700mAh battery is also part of the party and an Android 4.3 Jellybean.

It's good thing to know that this device is made for better music experience as like what I mentioned above it is offering a 100-decibell speaker. According to CNET Asia, when the speakers are in full swing it would be as loud as a chainsaw without exactly losing the quality of the music being played. And with that I think many Filipino would love it plus of course its asking price of Php6,990 (Single SIM) and Php7,890 (Dual SIM) would be another big drawer for this new Sony Xperia E1.
