[Update] Spotify Comes to the Philippines, Thanks to Coca-cola

Spotify, a popular commercial music streaming service provider is finally and officially coming to the Philippines through its partnership with Coca-cola. This London-based provider boasts around 24 million subscribers from 55 countries across the globe, the Philippines would the 56th to join. And 20 million songs are currently in their data base for all the free and premium subscribers to enjoy.

It's not first in the Asia though, MisterJonJon blog says Spotify is already available in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia. In the Philippines, Spotify will have two types of subscription plans. The first one will be for free but is ad supported and then the second is a premium account which of course ad free subscription plus users are allowed to download songs. The number of songs available in this service is growing by 20,000 new songs added daily, the blog added.   

 YugaTech said if you would like to be one of the early subscribers, you may send email to Social_CokePH@Coca-Cola.com with "Coca-Cola Spotify" as the subject and then wait for a reply them instructing you on how to register and download their application to your desktop. Spotify app is available to almost every platform around such as Windows, Mac, iOS, Windows Phone, Android and more.

Spotify Philippines is now, April 8 2014, official with a premium access of only Php129/month which users can pay via credit card or Paypal. This premium access allows users to download songs and listen offline.
